The sky is an infinite movie to me. I never get tired of looking at what’s happening up there. K. D. Lang

My daughter and I were playing cribbage at our campsite. I was keeping half an eye on the sky, as it looked like it was about to do something incredible. As the show got started, I said, “Quick, Amy, grab your camera!” and together we ran toward the lake and watched the beautiful show.

We were getting back into town, late, from a weekend in the mountains. I was tired and, frankly, tired of taking pictures. I had hundreds from the weekend and didn’t feel like I needed another one. I almost didn’t stop for this shot. Now, it is one of my all time favorites.

I exited the mall on a weekday evening and beheld this unique sky. The picture was taken from the mall parking lot.

Wonderful, I just got back some of my pictures from my summer escapades. There might be a few worth sharing.

“Got back?” Film? I’m sure there are some worth sharing, or some that will spark your metaphoric tendencies.

It is wonderful to seek and find beauty in even the most basic moments of life…. you are a treasure!

Oh, thank you for summing that up so nicely. Daily life has so much to offer, the basic moments are the best. You’re a treasure, too!

Great sunset photos. I really, really miss southwestern sunsets. The ones we get in the midwest don’t usually have the same flare as the ones out there.

I agree. I went to college in the Midwest. The sky was definitely different. And then there’s the lack of a horizon due to no mountains. That was another thing to get accustomed to.
